Medical transcription classes can be taken both online and off-line for your convenience. If you decide to do an Online Home Study Course, you’ll receive classroom study in the comfort of your own home, and it is also less expensive than taking the course at a private school or a community college. You do not have to earn a degree to find a medical transcription job or to start a medical transcription business.

The medical field is a growing industry with employers and physicians always looking for good workers because this is one of the fields where people will always be needed.

In reality, what you can expect when you have finished your medical transcription classes is a job offer that earns you about twenty-five thousand dollars per year in an “office or hospital setting” as an entry level employee. While this may not be the highest paying job for a newcomer to the medical field, it is a good start for somebody who wants to work for a medical office as a transcriptionist, or for somebody who wants to stay home and do medical transcription.

There are not that many jobs available that you can study for online that are actually a trained profession, but this certainly is one of them. After your medical transcription classes are completed you will be a highly regarded professional who would be able to submit a resume to your local hospital if so desired. This is not a fly-by-night Internet scam by any means, but rather it is a professional training opportunity.

There are many people who have made a career for themselves working from home doing medical trancription while raising their children. I know, I was one of them, and still am. My daughter was 6-years-old when I began transcribing, and I have been working from home as a medical transcriptionist ever since; my daughter is almost 23 years old now.

If you have been looking around the Internet to try to find something to do from home you may have seen a lot of business opportunities that offer you unreal income goals, and you can just smell that they are scams. This is not one of them. This is a chance for you to make an honest income. This is a chance for you to quit your nine-to-five job once and for all.

In examining all of this information, you should really go ahead and see what is involved in becoming a trained medical transcriptionist. This may be exactly what you have been looking for all along.

Before you sign up for any medical transcription classes, you should find out from the company if the instructors are just educators in the field, or if they have ever owned and run their own medical transcription company. This can make a huge difference in the training you will receive. I have run my own transcription company since 1994, and I’m certain there is a difference between educators, and educators that actually have owned transcription businesses.

Some courses charge thousands of dollars, and you are trained by instructors with no experience in the field, and your actual dictation training consists of terrible voice quality training due to schools using out of date training materials that have been overly used.

Be sure you don’t fall into the trap of signing up for anything so antiquated. Make sure you can contact the owner of the training course and ask any questions you may have before embarking on any medical transcription classes and parting with money you may not be able to get back.

How to design business cards? First, you need to understand that a business card is a marketing tool, not just a card to hand out. You can make your business or job-hunting card a strong marketing tool by designing a two-sided card. That’s the most effective business card for both job hunters and small business owners.

Because the front of your card contains basic information like your name, logo, phone number, e-mail, and website, recipients might not be clear about your offer.

So you can explain that on the back of your business card. Examples would be your logo, mission statement, or one line pithy advertising copy when you’re a small business. For job-hunters, list several one-line bullets that relate to your most outstanding achievements

It’s unwise to put all of this information on the front of your card. You would have to make the font so small, your reader would need to use a magnifying glass to read the text. But when you put some of that info on the back, your card will look better with plenty of white space surrounding the information.

Business cards are descendants of the old fashioned calling card had a person’s name embossed on the front. Period. A calling card’s purpose was to introduce oneself. The purpose of today’s business cards is to both introduce and market yourself.

That’s why I said at the beginning of this article that your business or job-finding card needs to be a marketing tool in order for you to stand out. You need to consider a business card as advertising space. That spaced is maximized by using both sides.  that space by using both sides.

It’s looking good for physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and physical therapy aides: the demand for physical therapy is on the rise and career opportunities for physical therapy assistants and physical therapy aides are steadily increasing. PTAs who work alongside physical therapists and traveling physical therapists can expect many more job prospects in the next few years.

Both of these physical therapy jobs work under direct supervision of physical therapists, though both physical therapy assistants and aides have unique sets of responsibilities and differing training requirements. Despite the differences, the healthcare industry’s need for their services is equally great. For those considering a career in physical therapy, take a minute to read the following background information on both PT careers.

As a physical therapy assistant, your work setting would not be limited to hospitals and physician offices. Nursing homes are another location that physical therapists are often needed, mainly due to the aging population requiring physical therapy care. While assisting physical therapists, you may be required to aid patients with a variety of physical exercises, administer and apply hot and cold packs, perform massages, and report and monitor patient response, progress, recovery, and wellness. To assist physical therapists, many states require PTAs to be licensed in a combination of both academic and hands-on programs, in addition to having an associate degree. After completing initial training, physical therapy assistants can earn salaries that average around $45,000 a year.

There is a greater demand for physical therapy assistant jobs then aide jobs; although due to the increasing number of senior citizens needing rehab therapy employment rates are expected to increase for both PT assistants and aides in the years to come.Similarly to physical therapy assistants, physical therapy aides work in physical therapy offices , hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices. In addition to a high school diploma, PTAs receive job training by their employers. They are responsible for preparing the treatment area prior to therapy sessions. However, aides do not have licenses and therefore are not allowed to perform tasks that licensed physical therapists do. Salaries are typically around $28,000 a year, but job prospects are not as good for aide jobs due to the higher levels of competition.

The great news is that opportunities for traveling physical therapy assistants and traveling physical therapy aides are also on the rise. Rehab therapy professionals in these roles can enjoy all the benefits of travel assignments to their dream destinations while gaining valuable skills and experience and possibly working towards the next step in their therapy career!

For those wishing to explore this fulfilling area of physical therapy, there has never been a better time to contact a travel agency recruiter. The demand for physical therapists, physical therapy aides, and physical therapy assistants is high and expected increase further as the aging population creates more and more new patients. Take advantage of this opportunity, physical therapists.

When you were growing up, how many times did your parents tell you that you can do anything you set your mind to? How often did you daydream about being a star or finding the cure for cancer? Well, the trouble is that as we grow older, reality has a wicked tendency to puncture our hopes. The Great American Dream is replaced with: Welcome to America. Get a job and pay your bills. Survive.

Yet every once in awhile, we see a moving performance on the big screen or hear a musician in a coffee shop on a Saturday night and think longingly, “That could be me.” But the next day, we get out of bed, hoping for nothing more than what your nine-to-five can offer.

That is the trouble–although we so often start out with big dreams, we lose sight of them because day-to-day life gets in the way. Our persistence wears down, and we become discouraged or even jaded.

If I were sitting in front of you today, I would look you square in the eye and say, “Throw away all of your excuses. Live the life of your dreams–starting today.”

Many individuals wonder if they truly have enough talent to succeed amidst furious competition. So you might want to find out! Take a class specializing in your interest at a local community college, university, or studio. Invest in acting lessons or try an advanced guitar course.

Doing this will not only provide you with honest feedback about your abilities; you will be able to associate with similarly-minded people who will teach you to become better, and your ambition may be fueled by a regular dose of whatever it is you are passionate about. You may even be able to mingle with professionals in your chosen trade who have valuable connections to help you on your way.

The entertainment industry is a very difficult one to break into. There are the lucky few who have done so by accident or a handful of those have experienced a fortunate encounter with the right person at the right time. Do not count on this happening to you–most have to really work for it!

So get your face out there. Participate in singing competitions, act in local theatrical productions, participate in student films, or arrange to play in the corner cafe. Doing these things may not land you your “lucky break,” but it will ensure that you are constantly working, even if it isn’t always for that multi-million dollar paycheck.

Finally, make contact with an agent. It is crucial you do your research to find someone who works specifically with your needs as a developing artist. You can never ask too many questions–signing with an agent who does not quite mesh with your requirements can end up being worse than not having one at all!

Above all, remain persistent. You may have to hold onto your nine-to-five for awhile, but hope and hard work are the primary ingredients to the successful career you have always dreamed about.

Are you looking for an agent who is spiritual, optimistic, and dedicated to your success? Then who you are looking for is Craig McKenzie! To ensure your star is the one on the rise, check out Craig McKenzie (http://www.craig-mckenzie.com). Art Gib is a freelance writer.

To train or not to train…that is often a question employers have to ask when they hire new employees. Obviously, there is a little bit of a learning curve when a person first starts out at a job, but how much training is needed depends on the skill level that a new employee brings to the office on the first day. If training is necessary, tracking what employees have learned is also necessary.

For example, a science majors may graduate with some lab classes where they were exposed to certain procedures and certain lab skills. If they had never used it outside of the classroom, other than for the one assignment, it would be difficult to just turn them loose on a project. In this situation, it is obvious that training is needed to refresh the new employees understanding or to retrain them on the lab technique.

Employers should decide what objectives and tasks they feel are essential to having an employee prepared to work alone or in teams. Each one could then become an individualized training that a new employee must complete and sign off with a supervisor or training coordinator. There are programs that help track and maintain records of what employees complete, thus making it easy for an employer to know what training the employee received and what still needs to be completed in the future.

There might also be tests that an employee must take to begin his or her job. Using the science lab as an example again, a new employee might be required to take a safety procedures class. This employee must then demonstrate that he or she knows and understands the safety rules as established by the company. He or she might not be able to begin their tasks and lab work until successful completion is achieved.

When employees are trained, it assures that the learning curve is not as steep and it assures an employer that their trainee is becoming more proficient in what he or she will be doing. Training and classes are not only for new employees, but would also benefit existing employees. An existing employee may need to take additional classes for recertification each year, or they might need to log a certain number of hours to confirm their abilities. With computer tracking systems, employee training management and tracking is simpler. It makes for a fast and easy way to stay on top of what employees are doing to stay on top of their profession and career.

Do you need help with employee training management or are you in need of training tracking software? Look no further than Course Force (http://www.courseforce.com). Art Gibb is a freelance writer.
